As U. City Schools head into Fall Break, take note of a few changes to the school schedule during the next few weeks.
All students will switch to virtual learning only on Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 23 and 24). Cohort A students in grades PreK-6 will do virtual learning from home on those days. Fall break starts next Thursday, Nov. 25, and runs through Nov. 27.
Learning will be all virtual again the week following fall break. Every student will join their teachers online beginning Monday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 4. Neither Cohort A or Cohort B students will have in-person instruction that week.
In-person learning will resume the second week of December for our elementary and sixth-grade students. Cohort A will return to our buildings on Dec. 7 and Cohort B will come back on Dec. 10.
Superintendent Sharonica Hardin Bartleyurges U. City families to take all appropriate health safety precautions during the fall break. Wear your masks, practice social distancing, and limit family gatherings to 10 or fewer people.
District leaders will keep a close eye on our COVID statistics and respond appropriately when needed. “It’s up to the entire U. City family to help keep our community and schools safe,” Hardin-Bartley said.
