The School District of University City is pleased to announce two important new hires.
Dr. Kashina Bell will join the District as the assistant superintendent for people and general administration. Nancy Cambria will be the director of community relations in the Media and Development department.
Dr. Kashina Bell arrives at The School District of University City from the School District of Clayton, where she served as assistant superintendent of student services. She was also a principal in the Parkway School District, and assistant principal in the Hazelwood School District. Dr. Bell was previously a math teacher and is considered an amazing school leader who greatly impacted academic achievement for her students.
Bell obtained her master’s degree from Lindenwood University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University.
Nancy Cambria will become the director of community relations for the District. She previously served as communications manager for the Washington University initiative in St. Louis, Health Equity Works.
Cambria also spent several years with The St. Louis Post-Dispatch where she wrote stories to help spark change and improve the lives of children and families in the community. Her reporting was recognized by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services in its decision to revise federal child care quality standards on safety and quality. Cambria obtained her master’s degree from Ohio University.
Cambria will assume her new role on Friday, February 15th. Bell will begin on Monday, July 1st. Both will be based at the McNair Administration Building, located at 8136 Groby Road, University City, Mo.
