Do you want to learn more about your PTOs and what they do?
On Wednesday, Jan. 15, the District's Parent Teacher Organizations are holding a joint meeting at University City High School where participants can learn more about their school PTOs and share ideas about how to further energize their PTOs to be better involve District families. The meeting is open to anyone interested in their PTO. Attendees do not have to currently be involved in their school PTO and are highly encouraged to attend.
The meeting will be facilitated by a team of students from Washington University in St. Louis who are part of Design for America, an organization that helps various nonprofits develop better systems and practices to achieve their goals. The students are eager to hear your ideas and opinions about what it takes to make an effective and healthy PTO system at U. City Schools so they are able to truly meet the needs of the schools, parents and caregivers, and the community.
Free food and fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. The discussion with the Wash U. students begins at 7 p.m. Please note the Flynn Park PTO will hold a meeting prior to the event at 6 p.m. at the high school. The University City High School PTO will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the high school, also prior to the main meeting.
