This summer, a team of U. City educators attended Wash. U.'s 2017 STEM IQ (Integration Quality) Leadership Retreat to learn and create STEM-based Pillar Learning Experiences using the 5E's (engage, explore, explain, elaborate and evaluate) that is specifically targeted for middle school students. This year's goal is to embed one STEM-based Pillar Learning Experience into the 7th and 8th-grade science curriculum each semester.
