Equations 2018-19 Teams Forming
The UCHS PTO is hosting its 22nd annual U-City Equations season this school year. Equations is a game of creative mathematics and involves authentic learning experiences and problem solving at the highest levels.
This year's U-City Equations Open Tournament competition is open to teams from across the metro-St. Louis area and is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. in the University City High School Gymnasium, located at 7401 Balson Avenue (63130). Registration is due by Jan. 19 to participate in this year's event. Cost is $28 per team of four or five players, and $7 for each additional player on a team up to seven players. A practice session for starting teams, parents and teachers to learn more about the game has been scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the UCHS Library. This event is for first-time teams of students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Students should receive preliminary instruction from their coaches, but come prepared to ask questions.
