Community Meeting: Balancing Safety, Well-Being and Joy

 020724 Community_Meeting infographic squareThe School District of University City invites you to its upcoming Community Meeting: "Balancing Safety, Well-Being and Joy," emphasizing the District's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its students and staff. Please join us on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the University City High School Library, located at 7401 Balson Ave. (63130).

In a collaborative effort to foster an environment where safety is synonymous with well-being and joy, this meeting will bring together school district leaders Superintendent Dr. Sharonica Hardin-Bartley, Director of Secondary Education and University City High School Principal Dr. Michael Peoples and UCHS student leaders. 

The agenda includes: 

  • Safety and School Climate, focusing on Panorama Results and Actions 

  • All-Hands, Partners for School Safety and new U. City Ordinance on Directional Signs

  • Flourishing under an Academic Plan to Educate, Inform, Protect, and Partner - Safety Training and Drills

  • Explain How You Can Report Safety Issues or Concerns Directly and Anonymously - Anonymous Tipline at (314) 290-4444

The leaders of the School District of University City and the Board of Education reiterate their commitment to keeping safety and security a top priority. Recognizing that safety is a collective responsibility, the district uses a team approach to help ensure the education and safety of students.

This event presents an invaluable opportunity for high school students, District school staff, parents/caregivers (all schools), and community members to participate in an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. Please register and submit questions at www.ucityschools.org/020724Community.
