BWMS Parent LABs continue for the 2021-22 school year

Parent Lab 012722Brittany Woods Middle School's administrative team resumes our virtual Parent L.A.B.s series for families with students currently enrolled in 5th through 8th grades. The sessions are broken into three LABs where parents Learn, Advocate & Belong. For health and safety reasons, we are returning to virtual Parent LABs for second semester of the 2021-22 school year. Upcoming sessions and topics:

  • January 27, 2022 - open for parents of all grade levels K-12)
    Topic: Canvas & ConversationsDo you and/or your student struggle with operating Canvas? Come learn how to navigate and fully utilize Canvas with Ms. Ameerah Fairley (7th grade parent & education consultant). She'll lead us through demonstrations as well as answer any questions you may have.
  • February 23, 2022 - Brittany Woods families only
  • April 28, 2022 - Brittany Woods families only
  • May 12, 2022 - Brittany Woods and rising 5th grade families will be invited for in-person event, pending safety status.

The October 28, 2021, Parent LAB was entitled "Supporting Your Student's Academic Needs at Home." Parents and caregivers heard about what the school team is doing for literacy and math and what families can do at home to support student academic success.
