Male Community Volunteers Needed for Next Man of Valor Event

flier Help bring the Roar!

More than 120 adult male volunteers from the community are needed midday on Friday, Dec. 20 at University City High School to greet our students as they participate in the Winter Young Men's Night Out event sponsored by the organization Man of Valor.

The volunteers will line the hallway outside the high school's Little Theater and high-five the students as they enter the theater to participate in a "Let's Talk" panel discussion moderated by KMOV TV personality Maurice Drummond. Students and recent UCHS alums will discuss what it means to truly be a man of valor in today's society.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the front entrance of the high school no later than 11 a.m. to be escorted to the correct location.

Man of Valor is an active University City High School organization that encourages leadership skills, team-building and positive behavior among male youth. Every year the organization conducts a variety of service projects and events, including three Men's Night Out gatherings in the spring, winter and summer. Young Men's Night Out events provide positive ways for male youth to gather, socialize and have fun.

In addition to the Let's Talk panel, the event on December 20 will include chances for student participants to play Glow Dodgeball and participate in a three on three basketball tournament.
