Before and After Care
Before-school and after-school child care with recreational and educational activities are available for elementary students at a modest cost.
- Unleashing Potential offers before- and after-school programming at all four elementary schools featuring:
- Interactive activities in a supportive and safe environment
- Enrichment focused on literature, STEAM, health and social/emotional growth
- Homework assistance offered with academic tutors
- Snack or hot meal provided
- Full or part-time care
- Programs offered on all early release and some no-school days

- The YMCA's Y-Club is offered at Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Education Center. Y Club provides a productive recreational and educational childcare experience at a reasonable cost before and after normal school hours. This program is operated by the city branch of the Mid-County YMCA, which determines the policies, staffing, and program.
