District Strategic Plan
-
In 2018, the School District of University City launched a new strategic plan to ensure its vision of Learning Reimagined.
The plan was created after nearly a year of public, parent, staff and professional input guided by national research and modeled after other successful school districts. The plan was based on a vision, mission and guiding principle:
- Vision: Our students are well-educated, capable, and ethical citizens who positively impact society.
- Mission: Ensure every student graduates college and career ready.
- Guiding Principle: Transform the life of every student every day.
The plan has Five Strategic Priorities: - Modern, Rigorous and Relevant Learning Experiences
- Well-Being and Joy for students, staff and families
- Excellent Staff
- All Hands, by leveraging diverse, high quality partnerships
- Resources, strategically deployed
Each year, District Cabinet leaders work together to create specific action plans to address each strategic priority with tactics, milestones and progress. Plans are reviewed on a quarterly basis. The strategic plan and ensuing action plans and milestones ensure continued growth and accelerated progress by:
- Fostering alignment and clarity
- Setting priorities for human and financial resources
- Clarifying accountability
- Informing the budget process
- Creating consistent logic and language
- Establishing constancy of purpose
- Vision: Our students are well-educated, capable, and ethical citizens who positively impact society.
