Enrollment for the 2023-24 school year for rising Pre-School and Kindergarten students and New Families opened April 3!
Welcome to The School District of University City. We are so excited that you may "Join the Pride." The Lion is the District's official mascot. U. City Schools staff, students, parents and caregivers share the Heart of a Lion in all that we do to support our children and our community.
When you "Join the Pride," you enter a community where authentic relationships and well-being are valued. Students learn best when they are loved, connected and well. Under the District's vision of learning reimagined, we offer modern, rigorous and relevant instruction supported by great teachers and an engaged community of learning and wellness partners. Racial equity, student voice, social justice, community service, Restorative Practices and environmental sustainability matter in our schools.
Each school has its own traditions and themes, starting in the District's preschool and four neighborhood elementary schools. All students come together in sixth grade when they enter Brittany Woods Middle School, which presents them with dozens of activities and electives, including bee keeping, environmental sustainability, computer programming, dance, drum line, strings, chorus and more. In ninth grade, students join the dynamic academic community of University City High School, which celebrates its accomplishments with the phrase U Time!
