The School District of University City was recently mentioned in the Gasconade County Republican as a recipient of an Environmental Education Subaward funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

This funding will support student-led Green School projects and further strengthen the District’s Education for Sustainability and Agriculture program, which prepares students for future careers in conservation, agriculture, and environmental science.

Fox 2 News recently featured UCHS Lady Lions Jael (senior), Jayce (junior), and Jayani (freshman) Green, three sisters playing together on the same basketball team!

KSDK reporter Travis Cummings visited University City High School to learn more about the District’s upcoming School-Based Health Center.

The St. Louis American highlighted our recent announcement of the new School-Based Health Center at University City High School. The coverage emphasized the significant impact the center will have by providing accessible physical and mental health services to students directly where they learn.

The St. Louis American recently published a recap of the Black Men in Education Convening, held in Philadelphia from November 20–22. Among the more than 1,500 attendees were our own principals, Dr. Jim Triplett and Darion Murdock.

We’d like to give a special shoutout to Brittany Woods Middle School Science Teachers Lanesha McPherson and Chyna Jones, who were featured in the recent WashU Institute for School Partnership newsletter for the research in connecting science and literacy.
