On Sept, 21, 2017, the University City Board of Education recognized the University City High School Class of 1966, represented by their class president, Richard Schainker, DDS, for donating $3,000 to provide flexible classroom seating that will impact high school students through their new flexible learning environments.

The School District of University City strives to deliver a modern learning experience that prepares students to meet the demands of an ever-changing world. As part of Learning Reimagined’s three pillars of humanize, personalize and problematize, classrooms and other student areas are beginning to take on new shapes with flexible seating.
