The School District of University City, in partnership with the University City Police Department and the University City Department of Parks, Recreation, and Public Areas Maintenance, invites families and community members to attend the annual National Night Out/Back-to-School Rally on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Centennial Commons.

This free, family-friendly event brings together students, families, staff, community organizations, and local partners for an evening focused on community connection, school spirit, safety, and support as the new school year begins. Attendees can enjoy activities, learn about community resources, and connect with organizations that help make University City a vibrant place to live, learn, and grow.

While National Night Out is traditionally held on the first Tuesday in August, this year's event has been rescheduled to August 11 due to Missouri's Primary Election taking place on August 4.
