Congratulations to Nicole Binion, TAGD Elementary Resource Teacher at Jackson Park, and her 5th grade TAGD students for being named Missouri State Champions in the Presidential AI Challenge, a nationwide initiative focused on using artificial intelligence to solve real world problems.

Their project, Smarter Streets, Safer Communities, explores ways to improve pedestrian safety around the Jackson Park campus. Using AI tools such as smart motors and beam break sensors at busy intersections, their design would alert pedestrians when vehicles are approaching or not slowing down, helping create a safer environment for students, staff, and families.
