Becoming a Board Member
To be eligible for the University City School Board of Education, candidates must be 24 years of age, a resident taxpayer of the school district, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the state for one year preceding the election of an appointment.
Two or three seats are eligible for each annual election in April. Qualified persons interested in running for a position on the school board are encouraged to file to be a candidate. Packets with information used in declaring candidacy are available through the board office on the first day of filing. Candidate filing opens in December and continues until mid-January.
Interested persons may file in the Board of Education Office, McNair Administration Building, 7700 Olive Blvd., University City, Missouri 63130.
Specific annual resolution and notice of spring election are posted each fall.
Public Notice of Filing for School Board Elections
The School District of University City encourages any qualified person interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the annual election on the first Tuesday in April. There are either two or three positions available with three-year terms.

Filing will begin in December (appointed date and time to be announced) and will continue during business hours, Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Except for the first and last day of filing (dates and extended hours to be announced); filing will not occur on days when central offices are closed for emergency closure.
