  • School Board Elections – Public Notice of Filing

    School Board Elections Public Notice of Filing The School District of University City encourages any qualified person interested in running for a position on the school board to file to be a candidate in the April 5, 2022 election.

    There are two positions available with voter approval for three-year terms. Interested persons may file at the University City Board of Education office located at 7700 Olive Blvd., University City, MO 63130. 

    Filing will begin at 8 a.m. on December 7, 2021 and will continue during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. through December 17, 2021; plus 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on December 28, 2021, which is the last day of filing.

    Except for the first and last day of filing, filing will not occur on days the school district’s central offices are closed due to inclement weather.

  • The School District of University City is organized and governed by a seven-member Board of Education, elected by the public to serve as the educational advocates of our community's youth. The voters of the District elect Board directors for three-year staggered terms, with two directors elected in two successive years and three directors elected every three years. All board members are elected at-large and serve without monetary compensation.

    The Board of Education is responsible for:

    • Assuring school district performance.
    • Hiring and evaluating the superintendent and delegate all administrative responsibilities.
    • Adopting evaluation policies.
    • Approving the school district's budget.
    • Connecting with the community.
    • Establishing goals and evaluating outcomes.
