Become a School Board Member
To be eligible for the University City School Board of Education, candidates must be 24 years of age, a resident taxpayer of the school district, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the state for one year preceding the election of an appointment.
Two or three seats are eligible for each annual election in April. Qualified persons interested in running for a position on the school board are encouraged to file to be a candidate. Packets with information used in declaring candidacy is available through the board office on the first day of filing. Candidate filing opens in December and continues until mid-January.
Interested persons may file in the Board of Education Office, McNair Administration Building, 8136 Groby Road, University City, Missouri 63130.
Specific annual resolution and notice of spring election are posted each fall.
