SDUC Quick Facts and Information on the District Response to COVID-19

All classroom buildings in The School District of University City are closed to students and staff through the end of the school year (May 22) in response to the COVID-190 coronavirus. Distance learning for all students began on Wednesday, March 25. Here are other important updates parents and staff need to know:

  • A Grab & Go meal program provides meals for all district students. For more information, click here. Please note, this curbside meal pick up program is exempted from the St. Louis County "Stay at Home" executive order. Families are allowed to leave their homes to pick up the food either by car or on foot. If you have not already, please complete this simple online survey to help the District plan and implement the program.

  • The University City Education Foundation is taking donations for a Summer Meal Appeal to provide care packages with fresh produce, snacks and household essentials to families over the summer months. To learn more and to donate, click here.

School principals and teachers began sending specific information about student distance learning to students and parents the week of March 23.

  • A Digital Learning Resource Guide for Parents can be found here. The guide provides quick links to access learning platforms utilized by teachers and students as well as tutorials and other information.
  • Families with children in grades 3-5 needing laptops should click here for information about scheduling an appointment. A plan is being developed to distribute laptops for students in grades K-2. More information will be available soon.
  • Families with students needing to retrieve materials or computers from school buildings should contact their school principal.
