Start Times and School Bus Stops
Due to consolidation of schools and reconfiguration of grade levels for the 2011-12 school year, transportation routes were significantly change. To allow adequate time for transportation of elementary students, the District recommended slight adjustments to the bell schedule for next school year at all levels. There were only minor adjustments to the bus schedules for the 2012-13 school year. Click here to see complete information on current start/end times and transportation routes.

Each year, during the first week of school, students and staff in the School District of University City receive a copy of the Discipline Handbook. This publication is updated annually with the most current policies, procedures and guidelines for proper school and bus conduct.
Inclement Weather Closings
When the St. Louis area experiences inclement weather conditions, the health and safety of our students and staff is the most important consideration to the District. The Superintendent of Schools may decide to close school for the entire District or only specific buildings for the safety of the staff and students. Alternatively, the superintendent may open schools on a "late start" schedule.
Days missed due to inclement weather may be made up at the end of the school year as needed.
Information regarding school closings or late starts will also be conveyed through the District's automated phone system and available on the District's homepage at www.ucityschools.org.
