Events & Communications

Communications and Media Services strives to promote the many great things happening in the School District of University City and to ensure that events receive appropriate publicity and remain effective. We ask that teachers or staff members who are planning events use the following two forms to share information with communications before and after your event.

Event Submission Form - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HYS7XP8

Use this form to notify Communications & Media Services of any event where you are requesting support, whether through designing fliers, securing advance coverage of an event for PRIDE or other publications, etc. Please note that school events that do not require the support of Communications are not required to complete this form. Information and photos may still be submitted to Communications following an event/activity, but this form is designed to capture all relevant information in advance of events requiring support.

Event Evaluation Form - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/H7QPCZY

This form should be submitted following any school or District event where parents or community members are invited to visit the building, such as curriculum nights, open houses, literacy nights, or other such events. Monthly meetings, such as PTO groups, or student clubs/activities do not need to complete this form following routine meetings.

Have a story idea? Let us know!

Maybe it’s not an “event” exactly, but your class is doing something fun and engaging that would make a great story or great photos for District publications. If you have a story idea from your building or districtwide, e-mail ccole@u-city.k12.mo.us and lrussell@u-city.k12.mo.us. What makes a good story idea? Anything that involves students engaging in innovative learning, hands-on projects, service activities, etc. Ask yourself, what’s unique about this? Will the general public find it interesting? Does it exemplify the mission of the District? The sooner you tell us, the more time we have to gather background information and determine the best publication opportunities.
