Superintendent of Schools
The Office of the Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer and educational advisor of the District by providing leadership in financial resources, facilities and community support to facilitate the accomplishment of the Board of Educationâs goals and objectives.
Assistant Superintendent/Curriculum and Instruction
Dr. Chauna Williams
The Curriculum & Instruction department is responsible for overall curriculum development, implementation, coordination and supervision throughout the District. This is achieved through a team of educators who oversees not only the core curricular courses, but also Gifted & Talented Education, foreign language, career education, state and federal programs, early childhood education and professional development.
Assistant Superintendent/Human Resources
Dr. Darryl O. Cobb
The Human Resources department is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the personnel management of the District by supervising the recruitment, application, selection, placement and assignment of staff. Human Resources also maintains personnel records for all employees, supervises the evaluation process, serves as a resource in the Meet and Confer process, and implements federal regulations (Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Acts and the Fair Labor Standards Act).
Chief Financial Officer
The Business and Finance office oversees the day-to-day operations of the department in the areas of fiscal management and financial planning (budget), accounting and payroll, financial data processing, real estate matters, meet and confer process, food service and transportation.
Executive Director of Communications and Community Outreach
Dr. DeAun Blumberg
The Communications and Community Outreach department is responsible for media relations, website, event publicity, community relations, District publications including the PRIDE newspaper and Print Shop.
Executive Director of Operations
The Department of Operations is responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings and grounds of the District, the security of staff and property, inventory control and compliance of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Executive Director of Student Services
The District is supported by many programs that meet the needs of students in assisting them to be successful in their school experience and in their daily living. Student Services supports those opportunities and resources for students and their families.
Areas of responsibility include guidance and counseling, social work services, health services, gifted education, special education, alternative school and adult education, discipline, admission, permissive transfers and enrollment count, homeless education, and Medicaid.
Director of Technology
Rob Corley - FantasTechs
Based at UCHS, The Fantastechs provides technology leadership, network administration, technical support and professional development services to the in-house Technology Support Services department.
Food & Nutrition Director
The Food and Nutrition services department is charged with ensuring that students have the opportunity to receive healthy and well-balanced meals that meet state and federal guidelines. Chartwells is the Districts food and nutrition provider.
