PRIDE is a quarterly publication of the School District of University City, with an additional Back-to-School Guide special issue published in late summer. Its history dates back to 1945 under the name of University City Schools newspaper. At various times, the publication merged with the City of University City's publications to produce Community News of University City, City Desk / School Desk and U. City. Copies of most of these publications are available in the archives at the University City Public Library and the Historical Society of University City. Reference copies of back issues of U. City and PRIDE dating back to 1990 are available in the District's communications office.
Additional copies of the current issue of PRIDE is available at the McNair Administration Building and on information tables at all University City public schools. Distribution to non-McNair sites is typically delayed until it has been delivered to most homes to save costs of duplication for residents.

Connections Parent Newsletter
Publication of the Connections newsletter began in 2002 as a means of augmenting the PRIDE publication and providing additional information to parents in the School District of University City. The publication was sent on a monthly basis via student backpacks of students in preschool through eighth grade. Additional copies of the publication were distributed through information tables in all District schools, University City Public Library, Centennial Commons, City Hall and Police Department. In August 2011, Connections went electronic as eConnections, but was discontinued in spring 2012.
INSIDE Staff Newsletter
The School District of University City produced a newsletter for and about the District staff on a monthly basis. INSIDE was e-mailed near the first of each month to all staff members with District addresses and posted by the building secretary in a common location for all employees to read. A printed copy of the Back-To-School issue was mailed during the summer to each employee.
