Dr. Fredericksen Welcomes You to Delmar-Harvard
Welcome to Delmar-Harvard. I hope that you will take time to explore our website and learn more about our school.
As principal, I believe that every child can succeed and that it is the duty of the adults to provide opportunities for success and to create a love of life-long learning. Our staff is dedicated to our school and community and has many years of service in education.
Our strong belief in our students creates a caring, safe environment with learning as our first priority. Our teachers meet weekly in Professional Learning Communities to discuss and analyze methodology and data so that we can make sound educational decisions.
Our parents are involved in our school on a daily basis. On any day, parents can be seen before and after school, visiting classrooms, helping teachers and students, and attending PTO meetings. Our PTO is active and provides events such as our Ice Cream Social and International Night for all of our families.
Our location, in the heart of the University City Loop area, provides close connections with various organizations. Throughout the year we participate in programs with COCA and Washington University. In addition, Wash U students provide service to our school by tutoring and assisting teachers.
We are a community that truly has our children as a first priority. I invite you to visit our school to see our work in action. You will be impressed by the atmosphere and learning activity in our building.
I would be happy to answer your questions. Please feel free to contact me at our school office (314-290-4391). I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Fornear Fredericksen, Ed.D.
Principal
