Support for Brittany Woods Students
Middle school students may encounter challenges related to academics or challenges in their personal lives that affect their academic performance. Brittany Woods has supports in place for students and families, including school counselors, a school social worker and a school nurse.
School counselors provide services related to academics, social and emotional needs and planning for the future. When students encounter more extensive challenges, the school’s social worker is available to support the student and family with resolving short-term needs and connecting the family to available community resources for ongoing support. The school nurse provides basic daytime care for sick or injured students, as well as education for students and families about a range of health topics.
