2011 Back-To-School Rally - Saturday, August 6

The School District of University City will host its fifth annual Back-to-School Rally on Saturday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to noon on the McNair Campus, 8136 Groby Road (63130). This fun-filled event is open to all school-aged children who reside within University City, but they must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. Activities include free hair cuts, health screenings,MoCHIP child identification registration*, backpacks of school supplies, hands-on educational activities, health and wellness information, field games, and informational or activity booths hosted by community organizations. Student-athlete physicals are also available, but pre-registration is encouraged and some costs are associated with these services. (Call 314-290-4007 to register by July 31.)

Volunteers and Booth Reservations

Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts during the event to help with registration or a District booth. (Event Volunteer Form - BTS Rally 2011)

Free booths are available for local not-for-profit and educational organizations, clubs and institutions, as well as local vendors or community organizations willing to provide free child-related services such as hair cuts, health screenings (vision, dental, chiropractic, etc.), educational programs or demonstrations. **The Missouri Children’s Identification and Program Protection (MoCHIP) sponsored by the Masonic Children’s Foundation will be providing FREE child ID badges and a CD that includes personal information data, finger prints, DNA and dental impressions. Height charts and scales are available at the event to facilitate the most current details regarding the child. Children are asked to not eat immediately prior to and during processing to allow for clean DNA swab. To help save time, click here to download MoCHIP's 2-page form and bring it to event.
