University City High School to host college fair September 20
University City High School (UCHS) will host a college fair through the Missouri Association of College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) for the third consecutive year. Any St. Louis area high school student is welcome to attend the fair on Monday, Sept. 20 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the UCHS gymnasium at 7401 Balson Ave. in University City.
More than 70 colleges from 11 states will have representatives at the fair to talk with students and parents, answer questions about the college admissions process and provide information about their respective schools. The colleges represented range from four-year universities to two-year colleges and technical schools.
“The college fair provides an opportunity for students to visit with colleges from other states, all in one location, and to get a feel for the institution,” said Katherine Bailey, college/career resource coordinator at University City High School.
The college fair attracts about 400 students and parents each year. No pre-registration is required, but Bailey recommends that students prepare a list of questions to ask the college representatives about degree offerings, admissions requirements or other topics.
Students or parents with questions regarding the college fair may contact Katherine Bailey at 314-290-4111 or kabailey@u-city.k12.mo.us.
