The PRIDE newsletter is a quarterly publication of the School District of University City. Its history dates back to 1945 under the name of University City Schools newspaper. Over the years, the publication has been merged with the City of University City's publications to produce Community News of University City, City Desk / School Desk and U. City. Copies of most of these publications are available in the archives of the University City Public Library and the Historical Society of University City. Reference copies of back issues of U. City and PRIDE dating back to 1990 are available in the District's communications office.
Additional copies of the current issue of Pride are available at McNair Administration Building. They are also sent for information tables all University City public schools and most city offices including City Hall, Police Dept., Fire Dept., Public Library and Centennial Commons. Distribution to non-McNair sites is typically delayed to assure that it has been delivered to most homes to save costs of duplication for residents.
