UCHS earns Gold
University City High School's Latin students took the newly-established Classical Literacy Exam in February.
Gold certificates were awarded to Ethan Farber, Daniel Politte and Elliot Wilson.
Silver certificates were earned by Anna Carlsson, Nathan Garland, Monica Phelps, Sarah Sarber and Anna Soifer.
Bronze certificates were presented to Grace Deitzler, Jordan Kennedy, Jake Mavropoulos, Ursula Monaghan Nathan Paul, Carl Sechrist and Kyle Wagner.
Also, Leslie Coley, Anmol Goel, Elie Hudson, Emma Mutrux, Sam Polzin, Matthew Russell, Mike Sarber and Jacob Stueck received honorable mention.
According to Latin teacher Jennifer Ice, many of these students also took the National Latin Exam on March 9 and will be earning many more awards during the Missouri Latin Convention on April 23-24.
