The LLC Government
classes will be studying the preamble and the separate articles of
the Constitution during the first semester. Passing the US
Constitution test is required for graduation from any Missouri
public high school so that will be our main priority.
At the beginning of T3 we are testing on Amendments 9 - 15 and then moving to Article 3 and the concept of Checks and Balances. Students will take notes on a copy of Article 3 on the Judicial Branch, then use a hand-out describing checks and balances to fill out a graphing organizer. If you miss class please get these hand-outs from Ms. Propst.
Then we will learn the rest of the amendments 16 -27 and the shorter articles 4 - 7. Be sure you have all hand-outs, study guides and copies of quizzes and tests. We will keep them in a portfolio so you can use them to study for the big test on Friday, December 12. I hope no one will need to review for a re-take. The only re-take will be on Thursday, December 18. Good luck to all.

Thursday, 12/11: lunch review session for both am and pm students 10:35 - 11:20. '
Friday, 12/12: US Constitution Test
Tuesday, 12/16: REview for re-take for students who did not pass the first time. Review of major ideas for reflective final for others.
Thursday, 12/18: Reflection final: What have I learned about government in this class? What have I learned about test taking skills? Re-take of US Constitution Test for those who failed the first one. (last chance)
