This past weekend, April 26th, 23 U-City middle and high school Latin students traveled to Columbia, MO, for the annual Missouri State Junior Classical League Convention. The convention is one of the highlights of our district's Latin Club because it is a fun-filled event, but we also earned several awards. The first year I took students to this convention, we earned 7 awards, last year we earned 21, and this year we earned 45 awards!
Before I list the awards earned by the students, I definitely want to thank Marilyn Neuner in the UCHS Business Office for being so patient and providing all the help I needed to secure travel and rooming. I also want to thank the administrators at UCHS for all of their help and advice, especially Mr. Blumenhorst for providing the forms, etc. Thanks to everyone!
Drum roll, please........
