Make-up Days for Inclement Weather
February 26, 2008
Due to a new law enacted
during the summer of 2007, as detailed in Senate Bill 64, the state
has revised its requirements with regard to make-up days for
inclement weather. Districts are now required to routinely build in
six make-up days per year. This is in effect for the 07-08 school
year.
Through the Meet and Confer process with the University City
Education Association (UCEA), it has been determined that six days
will be added onto the end of the current 07-08 calendar, in the
event that we utilize inclement weather days this winter, which
need to be made up. See the revised 2007-2008 calendar for
days added in June.
