Nathaniel Hawthorne Teacher Receives Salute to Excellence Award

Brian Rogers, a physical education teacher at Nathaniel Hawthorne Elementary School, is one of eight area educators who was honored on Friday, September 14 during the St. Louis American newspaper’s 20th annual Salute to Excellence in Education Scholarship and Awards Banquet.
Rogers has been a teacher within the School District of University City for the past 10 years. The Salute to Excellence Award is given to educators who enhance the lives of children as well as help to strengthen their community.
