In conjunction with the deployment, we will be providing useful information and links regarding the laptops.
Network Settings
In order to connect successfully to the District network, your laptop is assigned what is called a static IP address. This address is entered by IS and identifies a specific computer. When you use the laptop outside of the District, this specific address is no longer valid and will prevent internet use. To facilitate switching from work to home and vice versa we will provide shortcuts on your desktop. This will be done when your computer is setup in your classroom or office.
Student Printing
The classroom printer needs to be connected to your laptop in order for you to print and for the students to print. To facilitate this, a technician will visit your classroom after the laptops have been distributed to finish the configuration.
